CETPA to host its 57th Annual California EdTech Conference as it Transcends to New Heights in IT and Education Leadership
Sacramento, Calif., March 23, 2017 - In its 57th year, the California Educational Technology Professionals Association(CETPA) is soaring to new heights in the EdTech community across California as it continues to grow at an exponential rate with new trends in technology on the rise in education. Dedicated to IT professionals and leaders in California schools and districts, this year marks an exceptional time for EdTech professionals to join the organization and participate in the 2017 conference. An emphasis on professional development and change leadership in education have the member-based non-profit association at the forefront of the industry as a leading force in driving change through technology in education. More than 1,200 participants and over 270 vendors are anticipated to attend this year’s conference and showcase that will be held November 14-17, at the Pasadena Convention Center, located at 300 E Green St, Pasadena, Ca., 91101.


The CETPA Annual Conference concentrates on professional learning and providing resources to IT Professionals working in the California education community.  This year will feature three major keynotes, several featured speakers and hot topics in sessions that include Leadership, Project Management,  Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, and Infrastructure with informative sessions on E-rate and LCFF/LCAP.  Our hands on labs by Microsoft, Apple, Google and our Cybersecurity lab provide real training for the applications being used today. Leading EdTech professionals will also provide many insightful sessions to ensure that IT Professionals understand the needs of the classroom.


Our opening keynote presenter is the famous Captain Scott Kelly, who captivated the world and seized the imagination of millions during his record-breaking voyage to space. CETPA anticipates the enthusiasm that he will bring to the conference as Captain Kelly has proven that the sky is not the limit when it comes to the potential of the human spirit. He has paved the way for the future of space travel and exploration and CETPA looks forward to his edge of the seat inspirational insights. Captain Scott Kelly is known for his challenging discussions on dreaming big, pushing participants to test the status quo, and “choose to do the hard things.”


The event will feature four days of non-stop action with professional learning opportunities, leadership forums, hands on labs, and our famous Shootouts, alongside our largest ever Exhibitor’s showcase, full of new trends and technology innovations to keep you ahead in the fast changing world of education. Technology professionals and leaders alike will soak in new skills through networking and sharing information, enjoying hosted meals, sponsored events, and taking home new ideas and technology gadgets.
