CENIC

California's education and research communities leverage their networking resources under CENIC, the Corporation for Education Network Initiatives in California, in order to obtain cost-effective, high-bandwidth networking to support their missions and answer the needs of their faculty, staff, and students. CENIC designs, implements, and operates CalREN, the California Research and Education Network, a high-bandwidth, high-capacity Internet network specially designed to meet the unique requirements of these communities, and to which the vast majority of the state's K-20 educational institutions are connected.

CalPASS

Cal-PASS is a vital resource to help educators improve student achievement by identifying and reducing barriers to successful student transition in all levels of education: from kindergarten through college. The power of Cal-PASS rests in two aspects:

the data the system collects

bringing K-16 groups and faculty together from different educational segments to use the data to identify barriers, empower educators to make changes and build best practices.

CCSESA

The California County Superintendents Educational Services Association (CCSESA) is comprised of the county superintendents of each of the 58 counties in California and their associated county offices. The Association is organized into 11 service regions. The county superintendent in California serves as an intermediary between the state and local school districts within each county. County superintendents and their offices help with implementation of programs, provide fiscal oversight, monitor teacher credentialing, supply curriculum support and training and help in other areas of interest to local districts.

EducationSuperHighway's mission is to ensure that every school in America has 100MB+ of broadband. The first step is to understand where schools stand today. This will allow us to identify the specific solutions needed at each school in order to upgrade their Internet access to 100MB+. It will also enable policy makers to make better decisions about how to deploy the $2.5BB of annual funding to connect schools and libraries to the Internet.
