CETPA Develops a Strategy to Explore the new Digital Learning Environments

CETPA in collaboration with other agencies will explore the digital textbook initiative announced by Governor Schwarzenegger on May 6, 2009 and all learning and teaching strategies that have been developed for the digital classroom. This exploration will begin with the following events.

An In-depth One Day Digital Learning Symposium at the CETPA Conference

November 17, 2009, 9:30am-5:00pm. The Conference Symposium provides opportunity to build upon the success of the half-day symposium with more in-depth presentations and discussion in the form of a Digital Learning Imperative.

The "One Classroom at Every High School" Initiative

CETPA will work in conjunction with the Department of Education to foster the development of a digital learning environment. The first step in this process is to encourage every high school in the State to identify at least one classroom that will utilize one of the texts from those submitted and approved for classroom instruction.
