Request for Comment on the Waiver Request for Schools impacted by California Wildfires (Initial Comments Due by January 11, 2018)
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) issued a Public Notice on December 11, 2017 seeking comment on the California Department of Education’s (CDE) request for waiver of certain E-rate rules and program requirements for schools affected by the California wildfires.
The CDE encourages representatives from schools impacted by wild fires to provide comment.
To submit comments electronically, go to the FCC Electronic Comment Filing System (ECFS) Web page at https://www.fcc.gov/ecfs/filings . The Proceeding(s) field is the first field on the ECFS form. Type in “02-6” as a search criteria, and select the option that reads, “02-6 | In the Matter of Schools and Libraries Universal Support Mechanism.” The remaining fields require the identity and contact information for the filer and a document upload tool to attach your comments.
