We are pleased to announce that the CETPA 2018 Annual Conference was a great success! On behalf of the CETPA Board of Directors and staff, we hope you benefited from every aspect of the event. Be sure to visit our new website for ongoing events in your region and get involved in other valuable CETPA partner programs and networking opportunities in 2019.


Our final numbers are in! The 2018 CETPA Conference in Sacramento was THE largest to date for our organization. We thank each and every one of you for your contributions to CETPA and the California EdTech community as you help us shape the future of education through technology.

We'd like to give a warm welcome to our new 2018-2019 CETPA President, Lorrie Owens. As a professional in the K-12 technology world, Lorrie is the Administrator for Information Technology Services at the San Mateo County Office of Education. Within CETPA, she has served as a member of the CTO Mentor ProgramSteering Committee and as an instructor for several years. Lorrieis also the Past President for the California County Superintendents Educational Services Association(CCSESA)Technology and Telecommunications Steering Committee (TTSC).We're looking forward to a great year ahead with her high energy, enthusiasm and dedication to CETPA!

Continued Success with the2018 Student Innovator's Showcase!

Talented California K-12 STEM students showcase their technology skills


This is the future! Brought to you by CETPA, the Annual 2018 Student Innovator's Showcase featured six teams of 65 students and 15 educators nominated by a variety of California statewide K-12 school districts who demonstrated their robotics and engineering skills to members and supporters at the Annual Conference. Students showcased their use of technology in unique and creative ways to enhance education through specialized learning apps, virtual reality, coding, motion pictures, robotics and more.


Thank you to all the participants and supporters of this year's event! A special shout out goes to the following California schools and districts: I-Cares Program from Placer County Office of Education, Rocklin USD, Elk Grove USD, Twin Rivers USD, Sierra Elementary School, Harriett Eddy Middle School, Monterey Trail High School and Rio Linda High School.
